Vesta

Hello Everyone.
I’m posting a wonderful and incredible interview I had with Vesta, model and photographer of www.bondagedivas.com. Enjoy!

Vesta in bondage - pic courtesy of BedroomBondage.comWhy did you decide to develop your website, instead of just working for other fetish website?

When I started in modeling in 1997, I was really turned on by the feedback I would get from my pictures. I always had seen myself as a sort of a ‘bondage exhibitionist’ of sorts so I get turned on as much by the cameras as the bondage itself. So it seemed like a natural thing for me to start my own website, that way I could put up as much as I wanted when I want. But I do also still really love working for others as well.

Now that you have worked on both sides of the camera, which do you prefer best?

By far I still much more prefer to be the model. I don’t get a lot of satisfaction out the production side of my site. It’s so much more fun for me to be in front of the camera.

Are female models more comfortable working with a female photographer/producer than your male counter parts or not?

Hmmm A good question really. I am not as concerned about the sex of the producer as much as I am about the chemistry. I love working with people who I really “click” with. I have male producers such as DR Darke, Paablo, my hubby, and few other males that I enjoy working with due to how things go and likewise I have female producers such as Genesis Lynn, Lorelei, Delerium, etc, who I also really enjoy working with. So to me, I do not think it matters much about the producer’s sex.

Why do you think some female models feel more comfortable working with a female photographer/producer?

I suppose it is a comfort thing maybe. In matters of nudity, vibrator play, etc. I think it is more comfortable doing that type of stuff while being tied up with women. But again, I am not to particular about a producer’s sex so I cannot give a real good answer to this question.

When you develop a photo set for your website, what theme or storyline do you consider for it. For example love bondage, damsel in distress, or other?

Bondage Divas mixes all that stuff. Sometimes I look at a model and decide she would be cool for a DiD set while others are love bondage. It also just depends on my mood at the time LOL. For my other site www.boundcomics.com I do all DiD. As for me, I prefer being DiD scenarios.

Is there a model you would like to work with one day on a photo/video project?

Hmmm there are several models whom I really enjoy working with. For the most part I have been lucky and have been able to work with everyone I want to. Lorelei can tie me up anytime, I love working with her. As well as Darla Crane. Angelica Vamp is my absolute favorite model to work with. We have awesome chemistry together and are the best of friends off camera as well which helps a lot. Mercedes is also a favorite of mine and we are long time best friends as well. I could go on forever LOI about the girls I like working with as I have about 15 or so that I really click with. As for models I have not worked with that I want to are Elkie Cooper, Chrissy Daniels, Kory Vixen are all top of my wish list.

Is there a photographer or video director you hope to one day work with on a fetish/bondage photo/video project?

Hmmm, I would love to work for Ken Scott from AES someday, I really love his videos and I think it would be very cool to be in one. Also, SHIB from Superheroes in Bondage would be very cool to work for as well. A new website out of England that I really like is www.phantombondage.com, so I would love to work for the Phantom as well.

When you hire a model to work with on a project, what qualities do you look for in the model?

If it’s a video project that involves me in it. I prefer models I have a good chemistry with or in the case of new model one I feel I would work good with. Otherwise, I am not particular. My personal feelings are that there is someone out there that will always like a girl so I generally try to shoot with a wide variety of girls.

Because you’re also a fetish model, does it give you better insight or an understanding on what the model looks for in a photographer/video director?

Maybe so, I am not really sure on that one. I think I do understand what it’s like to be in front of the camera so I think that works in my benefit as far as producing goes.

Also, on how the model expects to be treated by the photographer/video director?

Models generally all expect to be treated safely, fairly, and respectfully. I do not think that it matters much. But again, as I understand how it is in front of the camera I don’t say things to models such as hang on, “I just need a few more pictures”, when she tells me she is in pain from the ropes LOL.

Due to the consent competition from television, cable, films, and other website both adult and fetish. Do you create more explicit photo sets or videos than you when you first began your career, in order to compete?

Hmmm, that is a great question that I have never given much thought to. I have tried to keep my sites and videos competitive as far as price and content. But as for the explicitness of my pictures I think that has grown as I have grown as a model. When I first started I was a bit shy about showing my body. But as I did it I found that I liked more explicit pictures so I started doing them. Now I am very comfortable with myself so I whatever I feel like now. I never really considered the pictures themselves to matter in the business competition.

When you develop a photo/video project for your website or when you work for someone else. Is every safety concern explored prior to the photo/video project begins?

Always….I really would never try and put a model or myself in danger. Safety is always paramount.

If a model chooses fetish modeling as a career and the spouse, boyfriend, or life partner disagrees with that choice, do you think that the relationship can survive it?

I don’t think so. My husband was vanilla when we got married and I introduced him to bondage. He has always been supportive of my work/play and that’s important. I think you cannot be very successful in this business if your significant other is not with you on it. I could be wrong but I personally would not do this if my husband did not like it. I have met girls who have to had make a choice between this (fetish modeling) their guy and I always feel bad for them.

What advice would you give to beginning fetish models entering the fetish field?

Hmmm again another real good question. Enter it for the reason, meaning fetish models that are really successful enjoy what we do in their personal lives. That always shows up their work. You can tell the difference between a model who loves her work and a model does it for the money. Also check the references if a producer is giving you a bad vibe then walk away. The money is never worth putting yourself in a bad spot and usually if you feel bad about a shoot its for a good reason. So check out references. Our community is big enough that its really easy to look into a producer’s or model’s references. Also have fun!! I absolutely love being tied up! I wish I could do it everyday LOL. But the best shoots are the fun shoots.

Thank you Vesta for an incredible interview. Let’s hope you never stop having fun at your photo/video shoots. Because if you enjoy being bound and gagged in them. Then no doubt we will enjoy viewing them.
